National Week for Fire Protection finished today

INCENDIO2The National Week for Fire Protection, dedicated this time to the Public Health sector, finished today in the Isle of Youth with competitions of abilities between brigades of several outstanding entities in this task.

The National Week for Fire Protection, dedicated this time to the Public Health sector, finished today in the Isle of Youth with competitions of abilities between brigades of several outstanding entities in this task.

The activities had as main objectives the preventive labor in study and working centers and in the communities, the interchange with the new generation and the recognition to the most outstanding people.

The exercises undertaken during the week, also included pioneer festivals and the awarding ceremony in the children´s contest titled “If I were a firefighter”, whose recognitions were for Maikol E. Quiñónez and Lisabeth Ordaz Góngora of Ernesto Che Guevara and Antonio Sánchez Díaz primary schools, respectively; Carla A. Rives González and Talía Fernández Breffe of Fabián Fernández and José Rafael Varona secondary schools were also recognized.

Likewise the program developed educative chats, recognition to outstanding brigades, as well as a tribute to the firefighters that have died fulfilling their fuctions.

The actions undertaken made evidence how these facts can be avoided, which affect lives and economic resources. The motto of the week “A fire can be always avoided” was ratified.
