Trova and poetry accompanied the members of the José Martí Brigade (BJM) at the headquarters of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba as part of the celebrations for the “eight years of conquests” of this army of culture.

Rosa Ariadna Cuza Milanés, president of the Brigade on the Isle of Youth, said that next November they will be imbued in their election process to select those who will guide the work in the councils.

In this new anniversary the link of the BJM with the communities, prisons to achieve a future reintegration of prisoners into the society and the Cultura Corazón Adentro mission in Venezuela is highlighted.

As challenges for coming years the art makers hope to redouble efforts in order to become schools into the cultural centers of neighbourhoods and increase the knowledge of the instructors throughout the professional development. In addition to raising the cultural development of the municipality and contribute with the study of history, the rescue of the reading habit and the development of values ​​in children, adolescents and youth.
